About
Agate Asphalt was formed in 2014 by Clayton Hallum. He was born into the paving culture and was surrounded by it his entire life. He worked during his childhood, high-school and college summers, alongside his father, learning the business. Hallum senior developed a reputation in the Central Valley for being one of the most respected paving contractors in the area. He also learned from his father that started paving in the early 1930's, when steam rollers still existed. Hallum Senior is still running Central Valley Paving to this day.
